We just purchased a $1500 Kenmore refrigerator, and discovered to our horror that it will only produce 90 ice cubes per 24 hour period!!!!!!!!
There are five of us living in Phoenix, Arizona and it is currently 109 degrees outside!
You have got to be kidding with us only being allowed to have 18 ice cubes apiece per day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can easily drink 10 ice cubes per hour when I am working outside!!
One excuse I got from Sears/Kenmore was: "Energystar" related. My 15+ year old refrigerator had an ice bucket at least 2.5 times bigger and was still often empty, but at least it produced a reasonable amount of ice.
Talk about stupid.
